Event Description
Target Audience Individuals who work in a Community Mental Health Center, Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC), Indian Health Services or 638 Tribal Facility, Community Mental Health Center, Carelink New Mexico Health Home, Behavioral Health Agency (BHA) with a supervisory certificate, Opioid Treatment Program (OTP), or political subdivision. Certified Peer Support Workers are also welcome. 20-hour CCSS training consists of: Part 1 – Self Directed Study (2 hours) After registering, you will receive course content to read prior to training. Parts 2 & 3 – On line training (14 hours) You must be able to attend all 14 hours of training. Part 4 Self Directed Study (4 hours) After the training you will be given additional self-directed study materials to complete. These must be completed within 6 months of attending the live training in order to receive a certificate.
Registration There is no fee to participate and registration is required. The 14-hours of live training will take place online via Zoom. After registering, you will receive a confirmation email with further instructions. REGISTER AT THE LINK BELOW. Please refer to the CCSS Training Dashboard or email CCSStrain@salud.unm.edu if you have questions.

Event Description
In this session, participants will receive psychoeducation on the qualifying diagnoses for CCSS – SUD, SMI, and SED, and how to discuss them with clients.
Please note: Spanish interpretation will be provided for every session. If you require an ASL or Spanish interpreter please indicate when registering.
Learning Objectives:
- Describe SUD, SMI, and SED diagnoses
- Define person-first language
- Practice client communication skills to support psychoeducation
Audience:
- Community Support Workers, Community Health Workers, and all other certified specialists
- All experience levels welcome
