Leadership Team

UNM Consortium for Behavioral Health Research & Training (CBHTR)

  • Principal Investigator: Carli Bonham, M.D.
  • Project and Evaluation Director: Sindy Sacoman

CBHTR will provide clinical leadership, managing and maintaining the integrity of the design, conduct, and reporting of the project. They will also develop a tailored Comprehensive Community Support Services (CCSS) training for SUD providers and will deliver training regionally. Data collection, reporting, and program evaluation for the project is also under UNM.

NM Department of Human Services Behavioral Health Services Division

Serving as Medicaid Assisted Division (MAD) project director, the Department of Human Services is the primary convener for the collaborative and provides project oversight.

Medicaid Assistance Division (MAD)

  • Planning Program Director: Annabelle Martinez

MAD will support the planning program designed to expand the SUD provider network and serve as a liaison for support.

 

Evaluation & Program Development Specialists

  • Lead Evaluator: Sindy Bolaños-Sacoman

SBS will lead the Needs Assessment, provide evaluation technical assistance to partners, ensure all evaluation deliverables are accomplished, develop evaluation protocols and measurement tools, manage data collection, and analysis.

 

Partners

NM Behavioral Health Providers Association

The Association will host and recruit statewide providers to participate in focus groups with the intention of expanding the provider network, and will serve as a Training Consultant to provide behavioral health training, technical assistance, and consultation.

The Lifelink Training Institute

The Institute will serve as a Training Consultant to onboard providers to bill for Screening, Brief Intervention, and Referral to Treatment (SBIRT) services that are newly reimbursable by Medicaid.

Behavioral Health Services Division’s Office of Peer Recovery and Engagement (OPRE)

OPRE will advise on the approach to improve peer-delivered recovery services for people with SUDs and will review the procurement process to expand the peer certification process. OPRE will also serve as a Training
Consultant and a liaison to service recipients.

Serna Solutions

Serna Solutions will serve as a Training Consultant with MAD to provide behavioral health training, technical assistance, and consultation to providers.

LOKA Creative

LOKA Creative will coordinate the communications efforts of the collaborative, providing support for surveys and data collection and creating communications deliverables to form a comprehensive campaign.
